AAQI Quilt Now for Sale

A lot of AAQI quilters have commented that when they try to promote the sale of their own quilts, a potential buyer will say "My house is modern."  And show no interest in AAQI quilts whether at a guild presentation, at a quilt show like the one in Houston, or just online when I ask them to consider buying a quilt and supporting this wonderful cause.

I assume that "my house is modern' .....and they don't mean the modern quilt movement..that it means that to them quilts are seen as 'old fashioned.'

So, with my AAQI quilting, I created what I think of as a "modern decorator" quilt. Perfect for someone who loves and buys art ....but not quilts!  Featuring the bright green that so many love but with some blues, as well.

This was made with some vintage decorating fabrics that are simply pieced, echo quilted and a bit of raw edge applique'.  The idea is a representation of the merging, the blending of one culture, one energy of polarized opposites, into the other...as seen by the circles of unification flowing over into the other..which side to which is ambiguous..that part doesn't matter.

Feel the blend, feel the unity and let your own polarized opposites accept one another!

I present, now up for sale at its own AAQI website page...East Meets West.

Remember  ALL profits from the purchase of this quilt goes from AAQI towards grants for Alzheimer's Research funding..one of my newest small format art quilts:
