Materials/Techniques: Commercial cottons, machine piecing and quilting, embellished with painted beads.
Artist Statement: When my mother could still walk, still brush her teeth, and even still look in a mirror and recognize herself, she would walk down the hall, laugh at her reflection in the mirror and say "Who is that wild thing?" Now, she cannot walk, cannot recognize herself or any of us who continue to care for her eight years later.
Dedication:
For my mother who is now in her 8th year of Alzheimer's disease, for my father who cared for her with my help, until the day he died, and for my brothers who continue to care for all of her needs without any outside help at all. I love you all so very much.
This quilt has fast finish triangles.
